Answering the Critics

May 31st, 2008

Exerts from communications from Chet.

Chuck, if you’re eating any animal products at all, you’re not following the Genesis 1:29, the Hallelujah Diet, or the Sheltonian Natural Hygiene diet.

I think a good, clean, predominantly plant-based diet is great, but human beings also have to have some foods from the animal kingdom for long-term health.

I take it your version of the Hallelujah/Hygiene diet includes some animal foods like organic eggs? If that’s the case, good…. you’re teaching truth.

Although I know a lot of people who claim to be strictly following the Hallelujah Diet or Sheltonian Natural Hygiene diet, I also know that if they are pressed to tell the whole truth, they all admit to having “occasional” animal foods, which certainly makes sense since human beings are designed to eat clean foods from both plant and animal kingdoms. That’s why there’s never been a single culture on earth that was strictly vegan.

I’ve been researching this question since 1993, and in all those years I’ve never found any evidence of a 100% vegan society or culture in the whole history of human kind. That’s a simple matter of historical and sociological fact that can be verified.

Dr. Campbell has never documented a totally vegan society or even, near as I can tell, a 100% vegan group within the Chinese society, though he did study a number of groups who were so poor they had minimal animal foods for periods of time.

Regarding Dr. Campbell’s overall study, I’d suggest that you do more reading. He has not produced a study that is respected and cited by serious professionals in the nutritional field. My wife, a very serious researcher, has questioned Dr. Campbell’s research assistant about the proteins mentioned in his study, and the assistant was not helpful, at all. This caused us grave concerns as to the truth of what he was presenting and concluding.

Chuck, to deny that human beings are opportunistic omnivores who require foods from both plant and animal kingdoms is to deny reality. As far as I’m concerned, you can’t be a legitimate truth seeker if your mind is closed to evidence. And if you’re holding yourself up as an authority, then you owe it to the people who take your word as truth to tell them the whole truth.

My answer;

Dear Brother Chet

You seem to see only what you want to see and overlook anything that goes against what you chose to believe. There is no way that you can verify that there has never been a society that was totally vegan. Sorry.

Dr Campbell did document in his book that there were areas of China where no animal products were consumed. Also that there were areas where only very small amounts were used more as flavoring. As well as areas that eat a western style diet.

I have heard him speak and he confirmed this fact.

Of course his study is not respected by mainstream, so called scientists. They would have to admit that they were wrong. That would undermine their entire world view and every thing they teach. They would have to accept that they are the cause of countless pain, suffering and death. Human nature keeps them from doing this, just like it clouds your thinking.

Yes you are wasting your time if you are trying to convince me that everything I have learned about human physiology is wrong. Pigs are the only true omnivores. They produce many more enzymes for digestion of a wide variety of foods.

We humans don’t product Uri-case. This enzyme is necessary to digest the Uric acid in animal products. Without it we cannot deal with the high levels of Uric acid in these foods. Uric acid wrecks havoc on our bodies. We were designed for a 5% protein diet. Only a plant based diet gives us a 5% protein level.

While it has been demonstrated that few problems occur if we consume less that 4 oz of animal products per day, many people, me included have become allergic to animal protein and react quickly if we get very much in our diet. Even 4 oz/day several days in a row will cause arthritis type pain and other health challenges.

You say that “human beings are opportunistic omnivores” that is true as far as it goes. However to say that just because people eat meat to survive when there is little else to eat, does not therefore mean that their bodies require meat to survive.

Natural Hygiene teaches that we were designed for a 100% raw plant food diet. However it also teaches that if you are not able to resist animal products that you should stay under 4oz. per day and combine them properly to minimize their negative effects. That means that animal products should be eaten with a raw salad with no starchy foods. Is that the way you eat your meat?

To say that the entire system is a fraud or that the people who teach it are teaching heresy because they teach one thing and do another is wrong.

I am the only one in my family who eats the way I choose to eat. My wife now eats more fruit and vegetables than she once did, but will not give up her small amount of toxic fare. I do not judge her for it. I love her and try to set a good example. It is hard when so much toxic things are in front of me all the time.

My wife makes potato salad a few times a year with eggs in it. So Yes I eat the potato salad. When I go to a restaurant and have a salad I often have potato salad if it is available. I like potato salad but my body does not like it. If I have that much animal products in a week I only have minor evidence of the fact, that I deviated from the ideal. The fact that I had only minor evidence of an impact on my health does not make it OK.

If I have a little cheese on my salad the next day, and perhaps a veggie pizza the next and a little something else the next I soon have severe arthritis pain in the last place I was injured.

Personally I praise the Lord that my body chooses to send the toxins to my joints. Many people never know until it is too late that they have done much harm. I quickly feel it with sharp pain in my neck or my knees or some other joint.

No Chet, you will have no luck convincing me that I need the pain of arthritis. It just hurts too much.

Chet do you eat your meat raw? If not you cannot digest it. Cooking destroys the food enzymes that could help you digest flesh foods. We don’t have strong enough acid or any enzymes to digest meat. If you cook it all you have is deranged protein that is toxic to the body. Eggs are not any different.

True omnivores produce enzymes to aid in the digestion of the raw animal products they eat. If you give them or carnivorous animals a steady diet of cooked animal products, they soon get the same diseases we humans do. Cooking deranges the proteins and makes a toxic stew that overwhelms the bodies ability to eliminate those toxins. The result is that it has to either store them or increase, beyond normal, its efforts to eliminate the extra toxins. To deny this can only lead to disaster.

Do you get your milk products from sources that provide you raw milk products. Pasteurized milk has no value to any human over the age of 3 years. We are supposed to be weaned by then. We stop producing the enzymes we need to digest milk by then. If it is pasteurized the food enzymes in the milk cannot aid your digestion, so all you have is a high protein product that you have no use for, with a lot of empty calories loaded with toxic inorganic minerals, and added toxic chemicals.

If you judge the system as false because some of its leaders occasionally slip and eat something that they know they should not eat, and then assume that they are teaching falsehood because they don’t practice what they preach is the height of folly.

I will pray for you Chet.

I perceive that you are an angry man, that you feel that you have been wronged. I feel that you are lashing out in the only way you can, by accusing those who you are working so hard to put down, of teaching falsehood. I pray that one day you will see that you are doing harm to yourself and to those who listen to you.

Natural Hygiene stands on well established fact, Human physiology, and natural Law. The evidence is overwhelming. To deny this does not make you right.

By the way, Dr Donaldson confirmed that he based his statements that the diet was lacking in sufficient nutrients on the published RDA’s

It has been known for many years that the RDA’s are at least double what we really need. In their own literature the government states that they took what they guessed we needed and doubled it to give a margin of safety. When that is taken into account the vegan, Genesis 1:29 diet, has more than enough of every nutrient.

I Love you in Christ. May God Bless you Chet.

Your servant,

Chuck

Web Taking a Chance — an Introductory Guide

May 31st, 2008

The trouble involved in visiting a brick and mortar gaming hall gives us plenty of reasons to let it be unless you can’t avoid it. Because traffic accidents, the trouble, and tasks at hand are too much to justify the inconvenience only for the opportunity of placing your bets at gaming hall, then again in case you are the kind of person who is greatly fascinated by gaming halls then going online will probably be the most obvious option.

For this there’s no need for you to leave house for a stint of virtual gambling for the simple reason that it’s easily accessed from within your domestic environment assuming you own a laptop or pc plus, obviously, a working internet connection. In spite of this, you should remember that there are quite a number of important things that you will want to get informed about concerning virtual gambling, specifically if you are still a mere beginner in this space. All right silence your flap and meditate on the following. Here is a guide which guides you how to pick a trust-worthy virtual gambling establishment. The first thing that you as a shrewd Internet gamester will make sure to chase out is an virtual gambling web site of the category that offers top winning odds. See below for a few select additional remarks concerning locating your online gambling web site.

Always make sure the online gambling web site is legally licensed, for example by hunting for the licensing information as manifested on the casino site’s webpage. If you can’t trace any licensing information on that online gambling web site, don’t even attempt to lay your bets with this website. Having done this, you will probably want to traverse painstakingly the assortment of bonuses and promos that the online gambling web site tenders.

Game Guides

Another bit of advice would be to lay your bets initially with smallish amounts rather than fool away crazy amounts off the cuff. To begin with, check the integrity and status of the online gambling outfit prior to triggering some severe adversity, specifically in terms of money… Here’s another significant tip concerning online card playing. It can only be this- to recall always that online gambling should be really only about fun and pleasure and much less about money. Betting in online casinos isn’t a chore, but, rather a diversion that can make you ecstatic and living enjoyable.

Once you have minded the advice above, you can acquiesce to the appeal of online gambling… :)

First Date Conversations that Get You Second Dates

May 31st, 2008

First date conversations are like great opening lines in a book…

…their only purpose is to get you to read the next line.

Or in the case of dating, the whole reason for creating great first date conversations is to get you that second date. Or at least to the stage where it’s you (and not them) choosing if you want to go on a second date.

So how do you create great first date conversations that almost guarantee you a second date?

  1. Practice
  2. Great Questions
  3. Know your goal

Practice Your First Date Conversations

Well, this applies to any of your dating conversations really. But it’s most important on a first date conversation, because that’s the one where you feel most of the pressure to ‘perform’.

Like any pressured situation, if you haven’t practiced enough up front, you’re more likely to crack under the strain! (Dating is a lot tougher than some would have you believe.)

So don’t go searching around the net for 101 great questions to ask, 1001 witty conversational openers or 1.1 million things to say to your date to get them on a second date.

No. Just take 1 thing. And practice it. Until you master it.

Then take the next thing, and practice that. Until you master it.

They were right when they said practice makes perfect!

Being great at dating conversation is a skill. And the biggest reason most people fail to get good at it is because they get overwhelmed with all the things they need to do. So forget about mastering everything at once. Just pick one thing and practice it until it’s entirely natural for you. Then move on to the next.

What to practice first? Great Questions

Great questions are the foundation of all great dating conversations. If you master just a few great questions, then the rest of your conversation is likely to flow so much more smoothly.

Why? Because questions are how you steer any conversation. And a great question leads to a longer, more interesting, more fun conversation.

So what are some great questions to ask? Here are five. Remember, I don’t want to overwhelm you with hundreds - because practicing one and mastering it is more important than having hundreds at your disposal.

So after your initial introduction and small talk, shift gears with these questions…

  1. So tell me , what do you love to do in your spare time?
  2. What is it about that that you love so much?
  3. I was out today looking for a holiday to go on this year, but I’m really stumped on where to go. What’s the best holiday you’ve been on?
  4. Have you seen any great films recently?
  5. What are your favourite TV programmes at the moment?

Remember, pick 1 and practice. You can practice these with friends, with work colleagues, with family. Don’t wait for the next first date to get some practice in.

Know Your Goal

Ultimately your goal is to get the option of a second date. But how?

Well, what would make you want to go out with the person sitting across from you? Let’s accept that you fancy them physically because you’re going on a date with them. What would need to happen on that date to make you think, ‘Yes, I’d really like to go out on another date with them.’

The answer?

You had a great time together.

If your partner finds you attractive and they had a great time with you, they will definitely want that second date. So your real goal is to ensure they have a great time on your first date .

To do that from a conversational point of view you need to ensure that they’re talking about and re-living experiences that they’ve enjoyed in the past. Because when we talk about things we’ve enjoyed, we re-experience those good feelings.

String together a whole bunch of questions that make your partner re-experience good feelings and by the end of the date, they’ll be feeling fantastic and know they had a good time!

Take a quick look back to those questions in the last section. Every one of them is designed to get your partner to re-experience things that they love to do. Things that make them feel good.

So your real conversational goal is to make them experience good feelings when they’re with you. The easiest way to do that is to question them in a way that makes them find things they’ve enjoyed doing.

What next?

First date conversations are like any other dating conversations - only you tend to put more pressure on yourself because you feel like there’s more at stake if you don’t make a good first impression.

You need to know that conversation is a critical part of getting second dates. The good news is that conversation is a skill that can be learned. Follow the initial guidelines in this article and you’ll have made a brilliant start.

Want to ensure you get more second dates? Then visit our website for more tips on first date conversations, speed dating or any type of dating conversation really. The same principles apply!

Vintage Hearth Accessories Heat Up Your Fireplace

May 31st, 2008

Curling up near a cozy fire is a wonderful winter pastime but you’ll need the right tools to tend your fire. Vintage fireplace accessories can add just the right atmosphere to your décor. Here’s what you’ll need to keep your fire aglow.

Tool Sets

You may notice that vintage fireplace tool sets can be larger in scale than modern sets. The reason is because in the 18th and early 19th centuries when a fire was the only source of heating a home, a large fireplace was essential and these larger fires required large tools to maintain them. Tool sets for the fire a shovel, poker, brush and pair of tongs were usually made of brass, bronze or wrought iron. Bronze tools are more valuable than brass or wrought iron. Look for fireplace tool sets to match the décor of your home. Ornate Victorian tools suit more traditional homes. More modern decor lends itself to the simple linear tools reminiscent of the arts and crafts period.

Andirons

Andirons are iron supports used to rest burning logs in the fireplace. They were utilitarian and not particularly decorative. However, in the 18th century the French fancied up their andirons with ornate figures such as dogs, lions, fish, mythological creatures or people. These were dubbed fire-dogs. Today, the terms andirons and firedogs are used interchangeably. These days we hold the burning logs in cast-iron grates. You’ll still see andirons in antique shops. Add them to add a striking panache to your hearth.

Fenders

A fender is three-sided rectangular shaped metal piece that keeps sparks from jumping onto carpets and flooring. They could be very ornamental at times.

Decorative Screens

There were several styles and purposes for screens to combat drafts or shield an individual from heat. Some were used to hide the fireplace in summer months. These were called cheval screens. They could be decorative and were made from mahogany, rosewood or satinwood with needlepoint, tapestry or embroidery details. Some were made with unwanted fabric or leather. A pole screen was used when the fire was lit. It was small, light and portable with an adjustable panel that could be square, oval or shield-shaped. It was used to protect the face when you were near the fire either sitting to be warmed or stoking the fire. Pole and cheval screens are hard to find these days because as central heating became available, screens were often discarded. If you do a cheval screen, you can still use it to hide the fireplace during the warmer months. Mesh screens came along later and served the same purpose as fenders. They held the popping embers in. Look for older mesh screens. They’ll have two small rectangular notches at the base that were to allow for the andirons.

Value

A matching set, consisting of a fireplace tool set, fender and andirons is more valuable than a mismatched set. It’s hard to find a complete fireplace set because over the years the sets were often broken up. If you have one, hang onto it.

Good News

There are lots of vintage fireplace tools out there. Since they were made of brass, bronze or wrought iron, many have survived over the years. You’ll often find vintage fireplace tool sets more affordable than new sets. Plus, vintage sets will have that great patina that newer sets cannot duplicate.

Choosing Where to Travel

May 30th, 2008

If you are planning to take a vacation, be sure to know what
you really like to do. This will make your trip more meaningful.

Mostly, travelers go on a trip recommended by friends, but is
this what they really want? It’s never too early to plan for
your trip and to do what your heart really desires. Hawaii Forum

Here are several questions to ask yourself before starting to
plan your vacation. Do I want to relax? Do I want adventure or a
learning experience? Do I want to get away from my job? Once you
know the answers to these questions, then you are ready to plan
your trip.

Vacations are needed for our emotional, physical and mental
balance. Vacations give a person a chance to relax, renew his
energy, and free him from his daily routine. Vacations can be
far away or close to home. Wherever the vacation may be, it does
the same thing. It provides satisfaction, which is far more
important than the destination itself.

Generally, there are some different types of travel according to
the activities involved. Here are some of them:

1. Responsible Travel. Traveling doesn’t always have to be
self-serving. With responsible travel, one could have enjoyment
as much as respecting the local environment and the people.

2. Rediscovering nature. Rediscovering travel is all about
nature and everything in it. It revitalizes the soul while
experiencing everything there is to know about nature.

3. Tribal cultures. In today’s world of high technology, it is
wise to experience the simpler life of the tribal people who
have lived close to nature in the same way for thousands of
years.

4. Responsible Diving. Diving not only lets travelers appreciate
what is in the sea but also helps make the traveler more aware
of efforts concerning conservation of our natural resources.

Plan your travel to a country that will leave a great mark in
your traveling diary. Here are some of the most popular
destinations today:

1. Thailand. Thailand is also known as Siam. It is an Asian
country bounded by Burma, Laos, Cambodia, and Malaysia. Behind
the back draft of Thailand’s jungles of bamboo, rubber trees and
vines are the Five-star hotels of modern conveniences. In some
parts of the country, elephants are still being use to lift
timbers and buffalos are still being used in farming.

2. China. China is now the second largest country and fastest
growing economy in the world. Most parts of China are still
unexplored by tourists; however, the eastern portion is now
popular to western tourists. First class hotels now offer the
highest class of amenities and dozens more are still being built.

3. Italy. Italy is a boot-like shape country bounded by
Switzerland, Austria, France, and Slovenia. The main attraction
of Italy is St. Peter’s Square where the Pope resides.

4. Caribbean. Caribbean is an archipelago of islands, 2000
square miles across. Most of the islands are plateaus and
eruptions of underlying mountain systems. It has nice beaches of
crushed coral and white or pink sand and the water at the shore
is a deep blue.

The success of any vacation will not depend on how much money
the traveler spent or the destination. The final outcome will
depend on the degree of enjoyment experienced by the traveler.

Saving Teen Lives while Driving

May 30th, 2008

The National Highway and Traffic Safety estimates that of the 26 million 15 - 20 year olds, 7500 of them will be involved in “fatal” car accidents. Of the reasons cited are inexperience, risk taking behavior and immaturity. All of these lead to a greater exposure for car accidents.

The fact is, automobile accidents are a serious problem for teenagers. Safety experts are trying to change that by educating teens about the choices they make when they get behind the wheel or ride in a vehicle with other teens.

Educating teens when they are behind the wheel is important. I am suggesting we also need to inform and make other drivers aware of who is driving the vehicle, increasing road awareness and traffic safety through information. Let other drivers have the option to drive defensively with car safety magnets on the unmarked family vehicle. We have to utilize all methods available and consider driving safety for everyone on the road.

Using the technology of car magnets for teen, student drivers, or driver education schools for auto safety. Auto safety car magnets can increase driving awareness especially using reflective colors and backing for night time visibility. They are durable to the outside, easy to put on and take off and can be used on multiple family vehicles.

Being able to spot a car with a new teen driver from 6 car lengths or more away will help increase road awareness, traffic safety and reduce driver frustration.

Organizing Your Work Day

May 28th, 2008

In the beginning I was like so many work at home businesses I
didn’t know how to organize both my time and my work space.

After much learning and experimenting I was able to find what
works for me.

Here are some suggestions that I have found useful. You will
find what fits your needs and business as well. Try out the tips
below, figure out what works for you. Only you will know what
works and doesn’t work for you.

1. Have a planner.

2. Have a notebook just to jot down ideas real fast.

3. Have pens and pencils at the ready.

4. Have an area to hold all your CD Roms that you use.

5. Have a file cabinet to hold all your files, sales receipts,
etc.

6. Have a HUGE wall calendar to look at in a glance.

7. Have your phone near your computer with the answering machine
on it

8. Have Caller ID, WHY? So you can glance at your phone and
decide if you can answer the phone. I hate it when I am in deep
thought and I get bothered by a non-important call, such as the
newspaper salesperson or a recorded message that I could have
listened to later.

9. Keep your printer supplies in reach. If at all possible, keep
an extra ink cartridge, extra printing paper and extra
highlighters, etc., so you don’t run out.

Check in your area to see if Office Depot or Office Max will
exchange your ink cartridge for paper. I never have to buy
paper, as I have so many ink cartridges saved. I take one
cartridge to one store and go to the next with another and thus
have two reams of paper sitting at my table at all times.

10. Keep any books you refer to for work on or near your
computer table for quick reference.

11. Have an index box to hold all your customer contact
information.

12. Keep track of customer’s birthdays and send them cards when
it comes around. 13. Keep a diary. Why is this important? On
those days you are so frustrated and just need to vent…write
it all down! Get it off your chest! Then walk away for a while
and do something else.

14. Have a brief case to hold any information for those times
you go networking offline. Yep, I said offline.

To be really successful, no matter what you do, you need to do
both online and offline marketing.

So keep a brief case or a file folder ready at all times to run
out the door, you never know when and where your next client
will come from.

Remember to be successful in a home based business you need to
be organized. Start out each day knowing what it is you need to
do for that day.

Don’t spend all your time trying to get organized do it in small
steps and soon your business and your life will be running
smoothly.
